Tales from the Lotus Pod is the first album by American hip hop group Dark Lotus. Released in 2001, the album featured the first and only appearance of former member Marz, who was soon dismissed from the group. Mike E. Clark was brought in to produce the album, but left the project after producing four songs. Fritz the Cat was brought in to finish the album.[3]
In 2002, the album was reissued in a different version that excised Marz's vocals, which were replaced by newly recorded verses performed by Anybody Killa.[4] The reissue is currently the only commercially available version of the album.[5][6] The album peaked at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, #158 on the Billboard 200 and #6 on the Top Independent Albums chart.[7]
Although there are no track titles listed on the album's back cover,[8] they have been listed elsewhere, such as Amazon.com.[6]
